Our friend Adam was in town for a comedy show again, so we decided to try a new brunch spot, Cafe La Maude. I had the Gaufre, which was a waffle topped with whipped ricotta and a bunch of fruit, it was good but nothing too special. David and Adam had the Caprese Benedict, once again nothing special, and I felt like the guacamole really didn’t make sense. Mexican and Italian do not mix at breakfast, in addition the bread was just plain thick white bread, the whole thing would have been better had it been better quality bread. Matt had the sweet potato benny, once again with the oddly placed avocado. Everything on our plates kind of seemed haphazardly thrown together and the prices were all way to steep for what the food was (around $15 a plate). I would definitely not recommend going here again.
